Belgium Brewery Bosteels, to partner with Cervo Rosso Events in 2012
With a dedication and commitment to brewing the finest beers possible, they have accumulated over 200 years of brewing expertise and shared this among 7 generations of the Bosteels family. As such The Bosteels family are dedicated to brewing excellence and have refined their craftsmanship to 3 exquisite beers: Kwak, Tripel Karmeliet and Deus.
Kwak
In Napoleons' time Pauwel Kwak was a brewer and the owner of the 'De Hoorn' inn located in Dendermonde. Mail coaches stopped their everyday, however at the time coachmen were not permitted to leave their coach and horses in order to have their thirst quenched along with their passengers. As a result, the inventive innkeeper had a special Kwak glass blown that could be hung on the coach. In this way the coachmen had the Kwak beer safely on hand!
Today Kwak is one of the few remaining historic Belgian beers and is still served with respect for tradition in it's original Kwak glass. Recognisable, special and just as idiosyncratic as the taste of the beer itself.
Cervo Rosso do not recommend mounting the Kwak glass onto a bicycle frame!
Tripel Karmeliet
Tripel Karmeliet to this day is still brewed to an authentic beer recipe from 1679 originating in the former Carmelite monastery in Dendermonde. Written over 300 years ago, this recipe describes the use of three kinds of grain: wheat, oats and barley.The name Tripel Karmeliet thus refers to it's origin and it's in-bottle fermentation. From trial brews of multi-grain tripels carried out at the brewery in the 90s, it appears that the historic combination of the 3 kinds of grain still remains the ideal blend.
Deus
The final beer in the collection is the sparkling divine! Refreshing as an aperitif and just as full of flavour and rich in aroma as a beer from heaven...yes it's possible!Deus is a magnificent symbiosis of brewing beer and creating a sparkling wine. Ideal for delighting your guests sometime as an unusual choice with the before - dinner nibbles and amuse-geules. And perfect if you have something to celebrate, like the first Test Team rider up the Koppenburg or the Muur!

The Cervo Rosso International Test Team is all about providing opportunities to experience some of the greatest organised rides and Gran Fondos worldwide. The CR Test Team is for the active road rider who wants to belong to the peloton without the pressures and commitment required of traditional teams.
As a member of the CR Test Team, it is our commitment to not only invite you to experience some of the greatest rides possible, but to ensure you take home some memorable experiences as a valued Cervo Rosso customer. This means both on the bike and 'off ' the bike when you choose to participate in a Cervo Rosso Test Team event.
And besides....when in cycling rich nations such as Belgium, it would be remise of us not to provide you with a post cycling tradition!
